If I feel I have to do that, I throw the game away. It's not like I'm lacking for games to play. Leaving the console on is morally disordered. If I feel I have to do that, I throw the game away. Leave the console on and out of reach of small children. This was generally your siblings back in the day but is now more likely your own children if you can remember the original Zelda like me. Its not ideal but it has been used at least once by almost every hardcore gamer I know. I must admit I do like the idea of an instant hibernation mode. If I recall correctly, when saving inside a dungeon, you keep any items which had been obtained, but must start at the dungeon entrance when you continue. It seems to be the same semantics associated with dying, without the health-related downsides. ;) This is the Zelda-standard saving method, don’t you know?

That's why you don't enter a dungeon unless you've got a long stretch of time and you don't quit until you find one of those transporting pot things. :( Just wait till you get to the treasure hunting segment of the game; now that's inexcusable! I would love a sleep feature though, that would be absolutely fantastic. I've been known to leave a game running overnight because of inadequate save mechanisms.
