I'm sure I saw a version that had 'Coalmine just last month. On second thought, don't. :) Watch for it on TV. I’m sure I saw a version that had ‘Coalmine just last month.

I haven't thought about either "Archon" or "Heavy Metal" in quite some time! The game was a blast, and I have to tell you, I watched the "Heavy Metal" DVD a few months ago, and for some reason it doesn't have nearly the same appeal to me as a mid-40s father that it did when it first came out, watching it many times over and over in the movie theater. I'm sure most of it is having actually met women since then, but a small part is the removal of "Working in a Coal Mine", my favorite song in the movie. Ahh, what a flashback! They basically instituted the same mechanics on a hexagonal board, apart from that it mostly faded from my consciousness. Why, exactly?" A few clarifications * This was not the reason that S&M:FP was killed. S&M:FP was killed because no one could make a financial case for it. In other words, the game wouldn't have made money. Not enough people buy old-school adventure games to make a triple-A budget for one make sense. It was beautiful, fun, and would have made about as much money as Wrath, i.e. a big fat loss. * Wrath was published by LEC, not developed by LEC. It was developed by The Collective. Internal development thought it was a mistake. We were ignored. * SW: Empire At War looks like Archon RTS to me. Call me crazy. My one complaint about Jade Empire was the fact that whoever modeled the female characters seemed to be under the misconception that breasts are anchored at the collarbone. Hey, good point.
