I don't think the art is significantly different, stylistically, than what you'd have seen had the engine been 2D. Overall, the game looks better to me than the Lucasarts 2D game. Was 2D too expensive to produce? I truly believe that it is the first time that episodic gaming has been done right. Not only is the content worth the money (http://ghostsinthegame.blogspot.com/2007/01/short-and-sweet.html), but the whole series has been written and crafted to be played a little at a time. It actually works, in the same way that a television show or comic book would work. Actually, I think I'll go and play the 3rd episode right now. I've had to wait too long already.
