I played it for a while back when. I can't be bothered to play ascii art-based games anymore though because they all seem to have the movement keys hard-mapped and I use a kinesis dvorak keyboard. (Feel free to delete it when you've read it, because it's totally unrelated to the above post. :) It seems you wrote some code for Angband in the past (specifically, Linux support in Angband 2.5). We are in the process of putting Angband under the GPL, for the reasons outlined at . Your code is currently used by Angband and its variants, and so we would like consent to relicence your code. If you would be happy for your changes to be relicenced, either under the GPL or a less restrictive licence (e.g. the BSD licence, or Public Domain), then please could you email me the following statement: "I hereby release all my changes to the Angband code under the terms of the GNU General Public License (version 2), as well as under the traditional Angband license. It may be redistributed under the terms of the GPL (version 2 or any later version), or under the terms of the traditional Angband license." You said on Usenet a while ago that you maintained the game briefly, too -- I'd like to hear more about that if you have time, as I'm trying to construct a history of Angband. Thanks a lot, Andrew Sidwell Hi Peter,
