I use linux for most things in which support has existed for years. Well I bought XP64 and what a piece of junk. They never bothered to write any drivers for anything because vista was on its way. So I got a beta version of Vista. Oooh baby, 14 GB footprint on my hard drive. 750 MB footprint in my RAM. I'd be pissed if I payed for it! I should just find someones old 32 bit windows xp or 2000 or something and install that. I do all my heavy computation in linux anyway. What can I say, I wanted 64 bit support in windows. (I know that doesn't make your complaint any less valid, but someone had to say it). Ha ha, you’re using Windows Vista.

This is regardless of whether I run it as administrator, disable User Access Control, set the run as administrator property (which is what their faq says you must do, but it says if it fails try it over and over and that eventually it will install). I tried it about 20 times. I also edited the registry to allow me to actually login as administrator and did so. It still gives me the error. Which no other application on earth does. If I try to install it in Wine on linux it complains that I don't have a video card it recognizes, am not logged in as administrator, and don't have windows media player installed. So it can't play me the ad movies? Why do I need windows media player to play games? I have come to the conclusion that this is something I will never ever in a million years use because they don't want me to use it. However, the designers are still working on it and improving it. In fact, you can follow their blog and even give occasional input (http://angledwhiteboards.com/). The system is a little weighty, and overbearing. But you do have the ability to delete games you no longer want. And after a using the interface for a little while you will be able to shut down and avoid most of the annoying commercials (hint: open the info pane when downloading/prepping a game). It would be nice if they had an actual fullscreen mode for the video (Sam & Max Freelance Police!) and better ways to do background downloading. Oh, and more content. But these are quibbles, and certainly not related to the games themselves which have worked flawlessly for me so far. You can also setup parental controls on different accounts if you want to. It's nice to have simple access to such a large library of games, it lets you explore some of the classics you may have missed. You need to call them to cancel. The second they fix this, I'm getting a subscription. Until that happens, no sale. One other for the disadvantages column: No way to cancel a subscription online.
