I can snipe the opposing team in an FPS from further across the map on the Cinema than I can on the MBP, and from a distance where I wouldn't even notice them on a smaller screen or with a lower-end graphics card. But for games that don't actually make use of the resolution, it's pretty much wasted. This is good news for me, as I would like to get a copy, but only if I could get the version I originally saw. :) psu:

Playing games that don't even support 480p is just painful on a large screen set. Now I have great respect for Sigourney Weaver, but she does not have the cadence and inflection of Sir David Attenborough, and the credit sequence appended for the US version lacks the power of the opening sequence used in the UK, which was both subtle and commanding. Planet Earth was the best thing I watched in the months before leaving the UK. Seeing the US version was like watching a movie censored just slightly for daytime viewing: it's still the thing you love, just less than it should be. Best wishes!
