In particular, I was most interested in talking to Mike about some of the business model issues I raised in that earlier article. I have a feeling I'd rather watch a mediocre movie with the commentary than a favorite. I did however happen to catch MST3K: The Movie late one night/early one morning, with all the interossitor- and mu-tant-based hilarity that entails. It's a genius idea. One glaring flaw, however, with the show (which I've since watched a lot of on tv-links and the like)... the theme song JUST KEEPS GOING. I too recently downloaded my first Rifftrax, Eragon. I was dragged to the movie in theaters, and I felt that justice must be served. I plan to buy more tracks and DVR most of the movies off HBO. I'm interested in Cinematic Titanic, but their first offering didn't really tempt me. Now, if someone finds a legal way to sell downloads that automatically chromakey Joel & the gang over A-list films, I'd be very excited.
