Surely beats the hell out of paying $60 for a brand new game doesn't it? I anticipate buying a Wii in or around 2011... That's gonna be sweet... Hm... ever tried Ruthless.com? It's a quite clever design simulating competing software giants struggling in a cut-throat market. You can even assassinate the CEO of a competing cooperation. Less violent strategies involve law suits and computer viruses. I remember when it came out I was amazed by its highly original game concept. The playing surface or "the board" if you like was matrix as an abstraction of the market. On this matrix you could position your software houses in relation to each other. The buildings close to each other were in the same field of software, CAD programs for instance. A small cool game, highly suitable for multiplayer since the ai was poor. Graphics were a little over-dramatized too. Turnbased games? Hm… ever tried Ruthless.com? It’s a quite clever design simulating competing software giants struggling in a cut-throat market.
