I read the liner notes wrong. The Handel is track 3. I had the right piece of music, but misidentified it. Track 4 is indeed the Vivaldi. Here's an MP3 of Brian Slawson performing this piece entirely with percussion off his great album, "Bach Beat". http://www.ee0r.com/misc/Vivaldi_Largo.mp3 Dang. I read the liner notes wrong. The internet is full of people saying things like this: "I don’t know if you guys still remember this but… there is this Sesame Street song which still haunts me to this day and I don’t know the title, but the clip shows pictures of a sunflower in a pot on an apartment window sill and there is an acoustic classical guitar playing in the background. and I don’t know the title, arrgh." "I don’t know the episode But it was like 25 yrs or more ago The scene was a sunflower on a flower pot sitting on the ledge of a balcony just after the rain. There is a solo nylon/classical guitar playing on the background" I am, it seems, a creature of my generation. Apparently, I may have first heard this on Sesame Street. I salute you and your detective's ear. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to finally know what that song is, after so many years. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I think it's Vivaldi. The Largo movement of Lute Concerto in D, "RV 93". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jizQFJxQ1i0 This was in several TV ads over the years, as well as a Sesame Street short that I don't quite remember (according to comments on YouTube), but I remember it most from the movie A Little Romance.
