I've often wondered why the makers didn't have the balls to throw the bulk of the combat out the window and make a game that fully lived up to its blazing promise. Yet, *even so*, it's a great game. Which points towards the high quality of PST's finer points, but also to the mediocrity of most offerings. Yep.
