Real life is always more surprising than fiction. When some awful underdog-wins-the-title movie is made, it's sappy as all getout, whereas the real thing, which said movie may be depicting, is always better for the very reason that you didn't know David was going to beat Goliath because the real life Goliath reached their station in life by kicking the crap out of a whole list of Davids on their way to the top. If you're watching a movie described as inspirational in the trailer, it hardly ever is because no matter how much lip service the script plays to the awesomeness of the intimidating favorites, you already know they're going down.
