Thanks for the reccomendation. I've heard really good things about the 30 for 30 series (admittedly most from The BS Report), but haven't seen any episodes yet. I'm definitely going to check this one out.

Rather than "Serve immediately", "Deliver surgically" would be funnier.

Oh sorry, that would be "Caesarean Salad".

DRM is still simply just annoying to me... eventually I think I will become militant, not sure when though.

Something of a local comment, this: (apologies to those readers in Spain!): wonder down the deli case at Penn Mac, to that far end where no one goes, over by the boxes. In amongst the heaps of tortellini and picked octopus and grape leaves and peppers and other things, they have anchovies, loose tubs of them, packed both in oil and in salt. I haven't tried the ones in salt. The ones in oil are amazing.

It is, however, nearly impossible not to buy too much of them at once.

AC2 is the coolest game Ive played for a very long time. It beats many of the big impressive games (GTA4, Oblivion and Fallout to name a few) by being even more impressive. That is some achievement if you ask me... And yes its still a cool game in other aspects like gameplay, storyline and so on. I'm very grateful for this PC conversion because I don't own a console.

DBM was around in several versions for a decade or more and was the dominant historical miniatures rules for the ancient period succeeding the Wargames Research Group rules (7 major versions) which were basically the only ancient rules from the early 70's onwards.
FoG hasn't dominated completely yet and at first sight the digital version appears hobbled rather than being the real expansion to something like the battles in the Total War series but without their siliness

I think that the reason people get fundamentally steamed up about this kind of thing is this: PC gamers have been being told for years that PC gaming is dying, that it's being killed off by pirates, etc. etc., and dealing with these increasingly painful DRM mechanisms.

And what it really feels like is that, well, "We're going to have to treat all PC gamers like filthy thieves."

The first few times you hear some sort of slur like that, it just rolls off. But after years of being hit with it over and over again, it starts to sting. Especially when the local merchants aren't just looking at your sidewise and muttering about Gypsies, but putting up strong bars on their windows, requiring all customers to leave their bags at the door, and eventually frisking everyone who leaves the store to make sure they're not walking out with anything.

Regardless of the practical impact of one DRM scheme or another, that's what really gets to people: the presumption of guilt.

That's why even people like Certis are coming out and saying "You know what? Enough's enough, I'm not going to do business with you any more" at this point—because it's just not cool when you walk into McDonald's and they slap a pair of handcuffs on you for the duration of your stay, "just in case". That's the kind of thing you'd never accept even if the food was individually cooked by the head chef of an amazing restaurant—and all we're talking about here is mass-market drivel.
