As a paper journalist (albeit a struggling one), I think it's about time someone was called on this. Jane's "remedy" is, in fact, pretty spineless. If editors disagree with the review, DON'T RUN IT. She asks, do we let one curmudgeon review the game? Absolutely! That's what you're paying him for! Frankly, I don't understand how they thought they could get away with this. No writer is going to sit there and let his work be altered substantially in tone AND substance and take it. Bravo.
