I find it slightly more interesting than staring at tile patterns, which is better than it sounds because I can usually find something pretty entertaining about a tile pattern (generally inventing an archaic set of movement rules and seeing from which tile I can reach the largest grouping of tiles). I think the trick to Peggle is that, while not amazingly interesting, it has nothing that makes you want to quit. Once you start a round, nothing aggravating stops you from playing, the level design is quite varied, and the whole thing is vaguely pleasant. If you're the kind of person who actually gets bored (IE: too lazy to amuse yourself), then Peggle is a godsend. As a sidenote: I was a huge fan of the Fire Emblem series, and then I played Path of Radiance. Path of Radiance was the first I played without an emulator, and thus the first I played without savestates. Fire Emblem is vastly more enjoyable when you have savestates. I feel the exact same way about Peggle. And Fire Emblem. Of all my RPG loving friends, I don't play Fire Emblem anymore. Do not worry. I feel the exact same way about Peggle. And Fire Emblem. I'm thinking maybe it's not the luck dependency that's the true factor, but just that Peggle is simply truly just not that good.
