Also I love how the tracks have no DRM and no time limit (you can download any from your list of bought ones for as long as you like, if you have lost an old one or something). I was suprised this wasn't mentioned in the article because it is awesome. How many people are making a living selling audio tracks with no DRM? Go Rifftrax! I haven't had much luck with pre-ripped movies (my presumption is that if you don't get the 3:4 pulldown right, the timing goes off), but I'll give ShareCrow a shot. It looks nifty. Like you, I've been enjoying the hell out of RiffTrax recently. Like you, I think their business model is innovative and "right." I got to see the Cinematic Titanic premier here at work, and it was great, but the $15-20 price tag on the DVD has been just enough to not overcome my laziness and buy it. No excuses there with a $3 rifftrax. I've had a couple hitches that were irritating, though. One: getting the RIGHT version of a movie. With all the unrated versions and director's cuts, etc. it can be non-trivial to find the same copy of the film that the riffers used. Second: software. For some reason, I was having trouble using their player, so I switched tp ShareCrow, which works great with both DVDs in the drive, and playing back pre-ripped movies with commentary.
