Amiga 500 (and Assorted Stuff) for Sale

On June 29, 2008, in Computers, by peterb

Allow me to take a moment to pimp this eBay auction wherein I am selling an Amiga 500, various accessories, and pieces of software. Help get this stuff out of my basement by getting it into yours.

Most importantly I should note that among the items I’m including in the package is an original cloth map from Ultima V. I suspect that to some people, that cloth map is worth more than the Amiga.

What’s scary is that I could recognise the map as an Ultima without reading the text…

Oh yeah I saved my Ult V map and docs for years and years then finally gave it to Goodwill. The pc version I had came with a silver coin with a pentagram on it as well.

  3. i think i still have my A1000 with the 256KB memory upgrade. I paid $750 second hand in 1988. Any offers. :-)

The map is stirring up all sorts of nostalgia.

As an aside, I am stunned to discover that AmigaOS 4.0 was released less than a year ago.

OS 4.0 was finally released good luck finding hardware to run it on. It could have been made to run on Mac G4 hardware but it’s all caught up in legal battles.

The map is definitely what drove the price up. A500s don’t normally go for that much.
