Seriously, everyone, your little April Fools’ Day fake news articles aren’t funny and you’re killing me. Let this holiday die. Please. I beg of you.

  1. How can the thing which brought me so much wonderful porn also be the destroyer of one of my favorite childhood holidays? The internet giveth with one hand… errr.

With the exception of my feeds tagged as personal, I am marking all as read.

I think I agree with you… it still kind of funny when people believe them.

  3. Dennis says:

I’ve so reduced my media intake that my only awareness of April Fools’ Day this year has been your post whining (rightly) about April Fools’ Day. It’s April 1st to me.

April Fool’s day is a test.

If you’re an intelligent, sane, well-adjusted person, it’s a chance to make a creative prank and get away with it.

If you don’t think it’s funny, you’re the April Fool, and everyone is laughing at you.

Either way, the intelligent people get a laugh.

If this is some sort of new definition of “intelligent” that translates to “irritating”, then I will wave my Fool Flag proudly.

  6. RedTuttlw says:

lol I’m smart I read the onion.

  7. Adam says:

I like the things that are actually pranks. Sending out a fake press release is not a prank.

  8. Andrew Plotkin says:

Every year there are some good ones. (I just watched the “Zelda movie trailer” on youtube.) Then there are a lot of bad ones.

And the people who are capable of understanding “Don’t bother with the bad ones, please comma you moron” are not the morons perpetrating the bad ones.
